  1. 1st of October- welcome back into my moving body
There waas a strong idea that was resonating into my body ...space...- allowing the space to come into my eyes and trying to move into the space, to create and re-create the space every second.
Releasing all tensions and arriving into the softness...breath...scan...tissues.
Clear feet! helped me having a better connection with the floor as well as moving more confident! play of different levels.
Teaching a phrase and then I have been offered a few minutes to bring back to my awareness principles I was working with in the morning/ personal practice..somatic awareness-does it affect the way I perform my phrase? Is it a difference? Body-mind unity, I can feel my whole self, my presence is here inside and around my body, my energy has changed and I feel connected!

  2. 2nd of October 2012
What do I want to achieve this term/year?
--->developing my own practice, finding my artistic interest and curiosity, what dance actually means for me? So many years of practice, different dance tyles, I have been travelling through different cultures, meatingg different people, creating and recreating myself, being shaped and fed in a constant manner...
---> what does stay with me? what sticks to me? this morning- clar feet and meeing the floor, body awareness, allowing myself to experience more picking up things from everywhere and forming a pack of knowledge of myself
--->having the sense of where I want to go, supporting my own work, reflect more( both journal and blog) and start making connections through all practices I am doing.
---> This morning I had enjoyed working with my childhood memoriesn and emotions- beginning with our 'arrival' on Earth, being rocked or hold seeing out, childhood movement/ activities and let go of them and let them come cack to us from time to time...this exporation made me remember where I come from, place, family, mountains, woods, grass, smell, house, body, tissues, blood and my happy childhood...
--->how does somatic practices inform: -dance and physical intelligence, creative practice and personal development?
-understanding my body in motion and stillness
-use of imagery to create authentic natural movement- honest responses
    -emotional side-therapy through dance
    -being in touch with myself
    * Questioning trusting myself, why am I here? perspective, understanding what I am doing!

  3. 5th of October- Experiential Anatomy
We are being encouraged to do whatever we need to do to arrive in our bodies thia morning (I enjoy the idea of developing my own practice, of understanding what my body needs every day, what I need...each day is different) What feeds me?
We had a moment of discussion about the hystory of somatic practices and its pioneers and I was noticing how unique each pioneers was/is. Their common interest was self-exploration process fed by the interest in different disciplines as well as injuries or health issues. The marriage between dance education and somatic practices has different benefits like living life more fully and I can definately feel that, now I perceive, i feel am i present, I see worl different I see myself different!
    Important books :
    -Exploring Body- Mind Centering
    -The Journal of Somatic Practices
    -Sensing Feeling Action
-The Wisdom of the Body Moving
This class was a real journey through senses for me...this reminds me of how complex creatures we are and how busy our daily lives are, we don't pay attention to all our senses!
First sense that we have been offered to explore was the touch and I was noticing again how sensitive my skin is. At that point, music brought me back on tearth and I was focusing on hearing..everytime I hear music my whole self changes and reacts to that, I assume is just a n atural instinctive reaction, but I would like to research more into that. As humans we can control how to focus more or less on different senses...'Music makes me more available' - writing from my journal. I can actually feel a connection between my moving body and my minds and senses, I feel more aware of the skeletona nd body structure, what is below and above the skin? How does that idea feed my movement? Is there any chance?
gravity of the body (this time i could experience it better ) what do I enjoy?moment...surfaces...habitual patterns, cultural influence.
All practices I have been doing have an imprint over the way I am sensing and perceiving.
BMC= taking the body through all development astages from child to adult (environment, coordination, repathern different abilities, stories)...

  4. 8th of October [Katye Coe]
For some reason that day I could not find curiosity...So I went to this book 'How life moves' and I found some interesting chapters about human being stcture in relation to different animals and stages of development from cell (BACTERIA) to homo sapiens. I was particulary interested in finding my vessel breath (pag 45) then I went into another exercise (pag 79) - moving like a reptile - reflections after 20 mins of embodied movement:
-Feeling and understanding better the skeletal structure
-feeling belly/front surface of the body
-sensing and feeling the ribs being changed and transformed
    -preasure on my joints/ hands/ knees/ wrist/ankle...
This 30 mins of solo practice brought me back into my curious body and made me ready for a good start for the class.
During class I was working with a specific focus on the levels and 'stay with my interest today of finding my instinct/basic or animal movement and senses. I am sweating and my body feels warm. Travelling and seeing - allow the eyes to travel with me' ... just a few words from my experience today.
